The Fredericktown Black Cats basketball team scored 74 points and limited the host Ellington Whippets to 57 in the Black Cats non-league triumph on Monday.

The Black Cats now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Notre Dame for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 3.

With the loss, Ellington falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Whippets travel to Clearwater (Piedmont, MO) to confront the Fightin' Tigers in a non-league game on Tuesday, November 26. The Fightin' Tigers go into the game with a record of 0-2. Clearwater lost 70-43 in their recent non-league game against West County (Leadwood, MO)
