The Fort Elliott Cougars basketball squad (Briscoe, TX), was nudged 33-26 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Elk City Elks (Elk City, OK)
With the victory, Elk City advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Elks travel to Tuttle (Tuttle, OK) to meet the Tigers in a Western battle on Friday, December 20. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Cougars now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Texas for a non-league battle on Tuesday, November 26. Fort Elliott will meet a Comanches squad coming off a 52-27 non-league win over Miami (Miami, TX). The Comanches record now stands at 8-1.
