In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting West Jefferson Roughriders basketball team scored a big 78-32 triumph over the Westland Cougars.
The Roughriders (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Greenon (Springfield, OH). The Knights go into the Ohio Heritage contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Greenon was trounced by Urbana (Urbana, OH), 39-35, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Big Walnut Golden Eagles (Sunbury, OH) in a Ohio Capital - Capital contest, on Tuesday, December 3. Westland will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 57-37 non-league win over Lakota East (Liberty Township, OH).
