Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Clinton Arrows (Clinton, MS) and the host Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS), saw Clinton's soccer squad hold off Northwest Rankin by a count of 2-1.
The Arrows (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Starkville (Starkville, MS). The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a 7-0 record.
Next up, the Cougars battle the Pearl Pirates (Pearl, MS) in a 7A Region 3 battle, on Tuesday, December 3. Northwest Rankin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS).
