The Downey Knights basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Golden Valley Cougars to 35 in the Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Knights now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Davis for a non-league contest on Monday, November 28.

The Cougars (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sonora (Sonora, CA). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Sonora was routed by Central Catholic (Modesto, CA), 64-47, in a non-league contest.
