Tennessee High School Basketball - Jellico overwhelmed by Monterey

The Monterey Wildcats basketball team scored 79 points and restricted the visiting Jellico Blue Devils to 55 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Saturday.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Van Buren County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 29. Monterey will battle a Eagles team coming off a 65-55 non-league loss to Pickett County (Byrdstown, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.

The Blue Devils (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sunbright (Sunbright, TN). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Sunbright was routed by Monterey (Monterey, TN), 66-32, in a non-league contest.
