The Pius XI Catholic Popes basketball team scored 91 points and held the visiting Madison East Purgolders to 83 in the Popes non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Popes now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waukesha North for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 29.

The Purgolders (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Madison West (Madison, WI). The Regents enter the Big Eight contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Madison West ran past Milwaukee Marshall (Milwaukee, WI), 68-48, in a non-league contest.
