Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Marshall Lions (Marshall, IL), 79-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Vandalia upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Vandals host Altamont (Altamont, IL) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Lions play the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces (Mt. Carmel, IL) in a Little Illini bout, on Friday, December 2. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Golden Aces go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 72-33 non-league win over Fairfield (Fairfield, IL).
