North Saxons (Torrance, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Montebello Oilers (Montebello, CA), 66-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Saxons host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Wednesday, November 30. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-2. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy won 64-60 in their recent non-league bout against Lincoln Park (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Oilers play the Marina Vikings (Huntington Beach, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 29. Montebello will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 47-45 non-league win over Vista (Vista, CA).
