Indiana High School Basketball - Northeastern can't hold off Monroe Central

November 26, 2022: Fountain City, IN 47341

The Monroe Central Golden Bears basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the host Northeastern Knights to 37 in the Golden Bears non-league victory on Saturday.

The Golden Bears now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union City for a non-league contest on Wednesday, November 30. Monroe Central will battle a Indians team coming off a 50-45 non-league loss to South Adams (Berne, IN). The Indians record now stands at 2-4.

The Knights (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Jay County (Portland, IN). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Jay County edged Woodlan (Woodburn, IN), 60-22, in a league contest.
