Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Triad Cardinals (North Lewisburg, OH), 40-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elgin upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Comets travel to Liberty Union (Baltimore, OH) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, November 30. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Bellefontaine Chieftains (Bellefontaine, OH) in a non-league bout, on Monday, November 28. Triad will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
