In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Lapeer Lightning basketball team scored a good 63-53 triumph over the Almont Raiders.
The Lightning (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Brandon (Ortonville, MI). The Blackhawks enter the non-league battle with a 0-1 record.
The Raiders now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Clair for a non-league battle on Monday, December 2. Almont will meet a Saints squad coming off a 52-39 non-league loss to Oxford (Oxford, MI). The Saints record now stands at 0-1.
