The Vinton Lions basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Oberlin Tigers to 14 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Midland for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 3. Vinton will confront a Rebels team coming off a 49-40 non-league loss to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Oberlin falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Hackberry (Hackberry, LA) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 3. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 2-7. Hackberry lost 46-45 in their recent non-league game against Oak Hill (Hineston, LA)
