In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Pinconning Spartans basketball team scored a big 82-8 triumph over the Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals.
The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Clare (Clare, MI). The Pioneers go into the Jack Pine contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Clare was trounced by Alma (Alma, MI), 47-27, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cardinals confront the Hale Eagles (Hale, MI) in a North Star contest, on Monday, December 2. Whittemore-Prescott will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
