The Gilmer Buckeyes basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Hawkins Hawks to 24 in the Buckeyes non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Buckeyes now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Center for a non-league game on Friday, November 29.

With the loss, Hawkins falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Hawks host Saltillo (Saltillo, TX) to confront the Lions in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 3. The Lions go into the game with a record of 0-0.
