The South Newton Rebels basketball squad (Kentland, IN), was nudged 36-33 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Riverton Parke Panthers (Montezuma, IN)
With the victory, Riverton Parke advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Panthers travel to West Vigo (West Terre Haute, IN) to meet the Vikings in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Vikings enter the battle with a record of 0-1.
The Rebels now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Iroquois West for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 15.
