Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX), 43-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Georgetown upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Eagles host La Vega (Waco, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 30. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 8-2. La Vega won 59-52 in their recent non-league bout against Ellison (Killeen, TX)

Next up, the Vipers play the Belton Tigers (Belton, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 30. Vandegrift will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 36-33 non-league loss to Liberty Hill (Liberty Hill, TX).
