The Fleming Colonels basketball team scored 61 points and held the host George Washington Eagles to 57 in the Colonels non-league triumph on Monday.
The Colonels now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carlisle for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. Fleming will play a Chiefs squad coming off a 88-44 non-league win over Forsyth Home Educators (Winston-Salem, NC). The Chiefs record now stands at 2-4.
Next up, the Eagles play the Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, November 29. George Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
