The River Valley Wolverines basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Newell-Fonda Mustangs to 42 in the Wolverines non-league victory on Monday.

The Wolverines now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lawton-Bronson for a Western Valley - North contest on Tuesday, November 28. River Valley will battle a Eagles team coming off a 66-56 non-league loss to Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

The Mustangs (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Western Christian (Hull, IA). The Wolfpack come into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
