The Brown County Hornets basketball team (Mt. Sterling, IL), was nudged 37-35 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Central/Southeastern Panthers (Camp Point, IL)

The Panthers now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty for a West Central - South battle on Tuesday, November 28. Central/Southeastern will confront a Eagles team coming off a 46-43 non-league loss to Rushville-Industry (Rushville, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 3-4.

The Hornets (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against West Prairie (Sciota, IL). The Cyclones come into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, West Prairie was nudged by Hamilton (West Hancock, IL), 79-14, in a non-league contest.
