The Gilman Pirates basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Thorp Cardinals to 22 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Monday.
The Pirates now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cornell for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 30. Gilman will meet a Chiefs team coming off a 55-28 non-league loss to Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran (Eau Claire, WI). The Chiefs record now stands at 0-1.
The Cardinals (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Loyal (Loyal, WI). The Greyhounds enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Loyal triumphed over Marathon (Marathon, WI), 41-34, in a non-league contest.
