Ohio High School Basketball - Maplewood nips McDonald

Maplewood Rockets (Cortland, OH) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting McDonald Blue Devils (McDonald, OH), 45-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Maplewood improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Mathews (Vienna, OH) to confront the Mustangs in a Northeastern - Stars battle on Thursday, November 30. The Mustangs come into the battle with a record of 0-2. Mathews lost 60-26 in their recent non-league battle against Mineral Ridge (Mineral Ridge, OH)

The Blue Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Windham (Windham, OH). The Bombers come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
