Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL), 49-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Maine South advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Hawks travel to Saint Ignatius College Prep (Chicago, IL) to face the Wolfpack in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 3. The Wolfpack enter the match with a record of 3-0.

The Lions now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Proviso West for a West Suburban - Silver match on Friday, December 6.
