Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles (St. Elmo, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Maryville Christian Lions (Maryville, IL), 48-31 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Brownstown/St. Elmo advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Eagles travel to Mulberry Grove (Mulberry Grove, IL) to face the Aces in a non-league match on Friday, November 29. The Aces enter the match with a record of 0-1.

The Lions now own a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Father McGivney Catholic for a non-league battle on Saturday, November 30. Maryville Christian will meet a Griffins squad coming off a 78-32 non-league win over Lebanon (Lebanon, IL). The Griffins record now stands at 2-0.
