Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Challenger Firebirds (Hickory, NC) and the visiting Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles (Asheville, NC), saw Challenger's basketball squad hold off Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy by a tally of 41-38.

With the victory, Challenger improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Victory Christian Academy (Gastonia, NC) to play the Patriots in a Western Piedmont challenge on Thursday, December 1. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Victory Christian Academy won 84-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Community Christian Academy Warriors (Bessemer City, NC) in a Western Piedmont challenge, on Friday, December 2. Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record.
