New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Turkey Valley Trojans (Jackson Junction, IA), 51-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Hampton upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Chickasaws travel to Mason City (Mason City, IA) to clash with the Mohawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 1. The Mohawks go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Trojans clash with the South Winneshiek Warriors (Calmar, IA) in a Upper Iowa bout, on Tuesday, November 29. Turkey Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 51-50 league win over Clayton-Ridge (Guttenburg, IA).
