Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 39-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Meridian upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Westfield (Chantilly, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Westfield lost 46-43 in their recent non-league bout against West Springfield (Springfield, VA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Westfield Bulldogs (Chantilly, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, November 30. West Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
