North Carolina High School Basketball - Bear Grass Charter can't hold off Perquimans

The Perquimans Pirates basketball team scored 64 points and restricted the host Bear Grass Charter Bears to 63 in the Pirates non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Pirates now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Currituck County for a non-league contest on Friday, December 1. Perquimans will battle a Knights team coming off a 86-46 non-league loss to Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.

The Bears (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech (Elizabeth City, NC). The Griffins come into the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech was nudged by Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC), 72-27, in a non-league contest.
