The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Don Bosco Dons to 59 in the Vikings non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Vikings now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Independence for a WAMAC - West contest on Friday, December 1. Vinton-Shellsburg will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 60-57 non-league win over Union (La Porte City, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.
The Dons (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA). The Buccaneers come into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, East Buchanan dropped by Lisbon (Lisbon, IA), 70-56, in a non-league contest.
