Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting East Forsyth Eagles (Kernersville, NC), 73-67 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northern Guilford upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Monday, December 4. The Grizzlies come into the bout with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Eagles play the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. East Forsyth will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Mavericks come into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 88-58 non-league loss to Cannon (Concord, NC).
