Mount Vernon Majors (Alexandria, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Osbourn Park Yellowjackets (Manassas, VA), 74-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Majors travel to Langley (McLean, VA) to play the Saxons in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Saxons go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Langley won 58-52 in their recent non-league bout against Centreville (Clifton, VA)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Brentsville District Tigers (Nokesville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. Osbourn Park will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 88-21 non-league loss to North Stafford (Stafford, VA).
