Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine (Oblong, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Vincennes Rivet Patriots (Vincennes, IN), 66-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The travel to Dugger Union (Dugger, IN) to play the Bulldogs in a Little Okaw Valley bout on Thursday, November 30. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Dugger Union lost 44-13 in their recent non-league bout against White River Valley (Switz City, IN)

Next up, the Patriots play the Washington Catholic Cardinals (Washington, IN) in a Blue Chip bout, on Friday, December 8. Vincennes Rivet will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
