Arizona High School Basketball - Rio Rico thwarts Sabino

November 28, 2023: Rio Rico, AZ 85648

The Rio Rico Hawks (Rio Rico, AZ) basketball knocked off the visiting Sabino Sabercats (Tucson, AZ), 56-44 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Hawks (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ). The Lancers go into the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Salpointe Catholic defeated Walden Grove (Sahuarita, AZ), 58-50, in a non-league outing.

The Sabercats now hold a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Sahuaro for a non-league outing on Thursday, November 30. Sabino will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 86-22 non-league win over Sahuarita (Sahuarita, AZ). The Cougars record now stands at 3-1.
