The Vestaburg Wolverines basketball team scored 70 points and held the host St. Louis Sharks to 49 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wolverines now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carson City-Crystal for a Mid-State contest on Friday, December 1. Vestaburg will battle a Eagles team coming off a 50-37 non-league loss to Central Montcalm (Stanton, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
The Sharks (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Morrice (Morrice, MI). The Orioles enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Morrice was routed by Perry (Perry, MI), 49-20, in a non-league contest.
