Bolivar Liberators (Bolivar, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ash Grove Pirates (Ash Grove, MO), 53-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bolivar upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Liberators host Springfield Catholic (Springfield, MO) to play the Fighting Irish in a non-league bout on Monday, December 4. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Springfield Catholic won 60-57 in their recent non-league bout against Clever (Clever, MO)

Next up, the Pirates play the Diamond Wildcats (Diamond, MO) in a Southwest bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Ash Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
