The Verndale Pirates (Verndale, MN) basketball crushed the visiting Ashby Arrows (Ashby, MN), 62-8 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Swanville (Swanville, MN). The Bulldogs go into the A Section 5 test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Swanville was trounced by Pierz (Pierz, MN), 74-51, in a non-league test.
The Arrows now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Henning for a A Section 6 test on Friday, December 1. Ashby will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 60-55 league loss to Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal (Twin Valley, MN). The Hornets record now stands at 0-2.
