Cook Hornets (Adel, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA), 25-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cook upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hornets host Valdosta (Valdosta, GA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, November 29. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Valdosta won 59-35 in their recent non-league bout against Brooks County (Quitman, GA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Irwin County Indians (Ocilla, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. Lanier County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 61-31 non-league loss to Berrien (Nashville, GA).
