Leander Lions (Leander, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host University Trojans (Waco, TX), 41-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Leander upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Lions travel to Liberty Christian (Argyle, TX) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 30. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Liberty Christian lost 63-44 in their recent non-league bout against Ursuline Academy (Dallas, TX)

Next up, the Trojans play the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 30. University will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 47-30 non-league win over Sanger (Sanger, TX).
