North Carolina High School Basketball - Alexander Central knocked off by Newton-Conover

The Newton-Conover Red Devils basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Alexander Central Cougars to 30 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Red Devils now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hickory for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 30. Newton-Conover will battle a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 41-34 non-league loss to Huss (Gastonia, NC). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 0-1.
The Cougars (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, North Davidson was defeated by Davie (Mocksville, NC), 72-45, in a non-league contest.
