The Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) basketball nipped the visiting Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN), 37-34 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Bearcats (2-0) will now prepare for their test against River Forest (Hobart, IN). The Ingots go into the test with a 0-0 record.

The Red Devils now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Kankakee Valley for a test on Saturday, January 20.
