Virginia High School Basketball - Benedictine nips St. Mary's

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Benedictine Cadets basketball team scored a close 74-73 triumph over the St. Mary's Saints.

The Cadets (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC). The Lions go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Saints battle the Loyola Blakefield Dons (Towson, MD) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 1. St. Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Dons enter the outing with a 3-1 record after their 45-44 non-league win over Concordia Prep (Towson, MD).
