Campo Verde Coyotes (Gilbert, AZ) backers went home thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team tip the host Valley Christian Trojans (Chandler, AZ), 68-64 in a non-league contest.

The Coyotes (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Westview (Avondale, AZ). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Westview nipped Prescott (Prescott, AZ), 65-47, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ) in a 3A Central match, on Tuesday, December 2. Valley Christian will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Prospectors enter the match with a 0-3 record after their 82-27 non-league loss to Madison Highland Prep (Phoenix, AZ).
