San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA) backers went home thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team thwart the host Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA), 50-38 in a non-league contest.

The Knights (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Montgomery (San Diego, CA). The Aztecs go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Montgomery was toppled by Mira Mesa (San Diego, CA), 69-42, in a non-league contest.
