Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cecilia Bulldogs (Cecilia, LA), 65-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lafayette upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions host Abbeville (Abbeville, LA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the West St. Mary Wolfpack (Baldwin, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 7. Cecilia will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
