In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA) basketball squad edged the host Benton Bobcats (Van Horne, IA), by a margin of 71-66.
The Golden Hawks (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Anamosa (Anamosa, IA). The Raiders come into the River Valley bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Anamosa was edged by Wilton (Wilton, IA), 84-45, in a league bout.
Next up, the Bobcats play the Regina Regals (Iowa City, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. Benton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Regals come into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 75-72 non-league win over Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA).
