The Shawnee Golden Eagles basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Brown Bears to 56 in the Golden Eagles non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southern for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 3. Shawnee will battle a Trojans team coming off a 61-51 non-league win over Iroquois (Louisville, KY). The Trojans record now stands at 1-1.

The Bears (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Atherton (Louisville, KY). The Ravens come into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Atherton was nudged by Holy Cross (Covington, KY), 80-58, in a non-league contest.
