In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX) basketball squad beat the host Corsicana Tigers (Corsicana, TX), by a count of 64-50.
The Elks (3-6) will now prepare for their outing against Mansfield Summit (Arlington, TX). The Jaguars go into the 5A Region I District 8 outing with a 5-1 record. In their last outing, Mansfield Summit defeated John Paul II (Plano, TX), 67-64, in a non-league outing.
The Tigers now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Paschal for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 6. Corsicana will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 65-33 non-league win over Trinity Valley (Fort Worth, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 8-3.
