Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Chino Valley Cougars (Chino Valley, AZ), 58-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Payson upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Northwest Christian (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 1. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Cougars play the Florence Gophers (Florence, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Chino Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
