The Highland Park Hornets (Amarillo, TX) basketball felled the host Friona Chieftans (Friona, TX), 49-31 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Hornets (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Pringle-Morse (Morse, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Pringle-Morse was beaten by West Texas (Stinnett, TX), 60-20, in a non-league test.
The Chieftans now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Hart for a non-league test on Thursday, December 1. Friona will encounter a Longhorns squad coming off a 53-48 non-league loss to Meadow (Meadow, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 2-1.
