Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles (Frederick, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Spencerville Adventist Academy Hornets (Spencerville, MD), 54-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maryland School for the Deaf upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Orioles host Cumberland Valley Christian (Chambersburg, PA) to play the Blazers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 1. The Blazers go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Cumberland Valley Christian won 58-55 in their recent non-league bout against Highland View Academy (Hagerstown, MD)

Next up, the Hornets play the Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests (Sandy Spring, MD) in a Potomac Valley bout, on Wednesday, November 30. Spencerville Adventist Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildebeests go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 88-57 non-league loss to Landon (Bethesda, MD).
